Computer Science (12 and up, Cheryl Parker)


In this course, students will learn the basics of computer hardware and software. They will learn about input, processing, and output as they evaluate their solutions to problems. The course will also focus on digital citizenship and some legal, safety, and societal issues related to use of technology in a networked world. Hands on activities include building circuits with logic gates, disassembling computer components, installing software, writing simple programs in Scratch and Python, and building a computer using Raspberry Pi.
